Stainless Steel Wafer Metering Station Overview

Time: 20-September 2024 | Source: I-FLOW| Share

Key Features

1.Material: High-quality stainless steel construction for superior durability and corrosion resistance.

2.Flange Compatibility: Designed for use with EN1092 PN16 flanges, allowing easy integration into standard piping systems.

3.Design Compliance: Built in accordance with BS7350, with a nominal Kvs tolerance of ±5%, ensuring precise and dependable performance.

4.Flow Measurement: The flow rate (Q in l/s) is calculated using the differential pressure (Δp in kPa) measured at test points. The minimum measurable flow can be determined based on the minimum Δp measurable by the manometer.

Performance Considerations

For optimal accuracy, the wafer metering station should be installed in a pipeline with the same nominal size, preceded and followed by straight pipe sections, as outlined in BS7350 installation recommendations. This setup reduces turbulence and ensures the most accurate flow readings.

To further enhance system performance, the metering station can be paired with a balancing valve of the same DN (e.g., VIR Fig.9565P, combining flow meter Fig.9450 and balancing valve Fig.9555P) for an integrated solution.

Advantages

1.Precise Flow Measurement: The design ensures precise flow regulation, with a nominal Kvs tolerance of ±5%, adhering to BS7350 standards for accurate measurement.

2.Wide Application Range: The working temperature range of -10°C to +130°C makes it suitable for various water applications, including systems requiring antifreezing or anti-boiling additives.

3.Stainless Steel Durability: Built with high-grade stainless steel, the metering station is resistant to corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance even in harsh industrial environments.

4.Flexible Installation Options: The metering station can be integrated with balancing valves to enhance system control and measurement accuracy, offering a comprehensive flow management solution.
